How is it powered — do I need the power bank?
Yes, it needs a USB power bank; there's no battery built in. That's deliberate — it keeps the cloak washable and means you're not throwing the whole thing away when a sealed battery dies.
Any 5V 2A bank works. If you don't have one, add ours for $20.99 at checkout — it's a 20,000 mAh unit sized to give you 8+ hours on level 1.
How long does the heat last?
On a 20,000 mAh bank: 8+ hours on level 1, three to four on level 2, roughly two on level 3. A 10,000 mAh bank halves all of those. Most people sit on level 1 indoors and only reach for level 3 outdoors.
What size is it? Will it fit me?
140 × 80 cm laid flat (55 × 31.5 in), cut as a cape rather than a fitted garment, so it drapes over shoulders from roughly a UK 6 to a UK 26. If you're over about 6'4" it sits higher on your legs than the photos — it still covers your core, which is the part doing the work.
Can I wash it?
Yes — unclip the heating cable at the inside pocket first, every time. Cold machine wash on a gentle cycle, mesh bag if you have one, then air dry flat. No tumble dryer and no iron on the panels. Make sure it's bone dry before reconnecting the cable.
What if I fall asleep in it?
It has a built-in 3-hour auto shut-off, so the heat switches itself off after three hours even if you nod off. With the heat off it carries on as a thick, cozy hooded cape.
